ASAP Employee Etiquette
As a temporary or temp-to-perm employee, you will be expected to commit to the following standards of behavior. Please read them carefully. If hired, you will be asked to sign an employee etiquette agreement. A link to the form is provided at the bottom of this page.
Issues Between Temporary Staff and the Client: (VERY IMPORTANT)
- All issues between a client and temporary staff need to be resolved by ASAP Staffing, Without Exception.
- If an issue arises with a client call your staffing representative at ASAP Staffing immediately. Do not in any circumstances approach your on site supervisor regarding the issue or leave the client site before your shift is finished unless so advised by ASAP Staffing.
- Never discuss your pay rate with other temporary or hospital employees. Doing so is cause for immediate termination.
Attendance/Showing up on time:
- Attendance is a strong key to success in many temp positions. You should only miss work if it is absolutely unavoidable. Many employers have let go of otherwise great people due to problems with attendance and lack of appropriate notification. If you have to miss work, call both the recruiter (cell phone it after hours) and your immediate supervisor at the client site.
- Leave extra time for the commute during the first week till you get accustomed to the traffic patterns and other occurrences that can cause you to be late.
- Clients document and report arrival times to ASAP Staffing and all late arrivals, justifiable or not, get noted in your employee file.
Be ready to work after you clock in. Do not do the following while clocked in at the client site under any circumstance.
- Make non-business related phone calls, especially making or receiving calls on your cell phone.
- Stand around chatting with co-workers.
- Eat or drink at desk during unless you are on a scheduled break or on lunch.
- Take care of personal business during paid client time.
- Surf the Internet.
Dress in a professional manner:
- During interview, wear professional business attire (suit).
- No excessive makeup or cologne.
- While on interview, notice the standard of dress that is used by the employer and other employees.
- When hired, always dress to the client’s standard of dress or higher.
Calling in Sick:
- Call ASAP Staffing and your Supervisor when you cannot make it to work due to sickness.
- Note sick day on your time sheet.
Contact the Office Immediately:
- You need to call office immediately after an interview, clients call in 30 minutes.
- If there is a change in urgency or if you have found a new position.
- Changes or additions in your skills set or personal job criteria.
